Anna Rodney, Owner and Founder of Chicago Family Doulas. Anna has supported families as a doula since 2009 and is honored to provide families with professional, compassionate, and personal support. Anna gives 200% in all she does in life and brings this commitment and passion to every aspect of her care when she supports families.

Chelsea

Comfort Measures

If you reach out to Chicago Family Doulas, chances are your preliminary call will be with Chelsea! For the past nine years, she has been a well-loved labor and postpartum doula on our team, supporting families with both expertise and heart. In addition to her doula work, Chelsea is passionate about teaching comfort measures, helping families learn practical techniques to ease labor and build confidence as they prepare for birth. As a mother of twins, she has a unique understanding of the joys and challenges of parenting multiples, which allows her to offer deeply personalized guidance. Families describe Chelsea as outgoing, approachable, and endlessly compassionate—someone who brings calm, confidence, and reassurance to every interaction.

Melissa

Infant Feeding, Breastfeeding & Bringing Home Baby

Melissa is a certified labor and postpartum doula with Chicago Family Doulas who is deeply passionate about empowering families through education. In addition to her work as a doula, she now teaches classes on breastfeeding, infant feeding, and bringing home baby, helping new parents feel prepared, confident, and supported during this exciting transition. Melissa believes that education is key to building strong foundations for families and is constantly expanding her knowledge to provide the best possible care and guidance. She feels it is an incredible honor to walk alongside parents as they navigate these early days of parenthood. In her free time, Melissa enjoys spending time with her family and reading anything she can get her hands on.

Bryn

Intro to Childbirth

Bryn is a well-loved labor and postpartum doula on our team. She is trained through DONA and has been working with families and young children for over 15 years. Prior to doula work, Bryn worked as an infant teacher at a daycare. She enjoyed expanding her knowledge base of infant care and infant development, as well as Early Childhood Education. Bryn has a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Missouri. She uses her knowledge of human history, anatomy and culture in her daily life: from biological changes in infants to the social/cultural norms of the family dynamic and motherhood.

Yvette

Intro to Childbirth

Yvette is a well-loved certified Birth & Baby University labor and postpartum doula with over 25 years of experience supporting newborns, children, and families. In addition to her doula work, she now teaches our Intro to Childbirth class, helping parents-to-be feel informed, empowered, and confident as they prepare for labor and delivery. She believes that the fourth trimester is a vital transitional phase for every family and loves making a positive impact so parents can truly enjoy this transformative time. Known by many as a “baby whisperer,” Yvette brings a calming presence, deep knowledge, and a nurturing approach to every family she works with.
