Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: What is the difference between your classes and the classes that my hospital offers?

A: Our classes are comprehensive, hands-on, communication and activity-based. They include a helpful and easy-to-implement workbook. Hospital-based classes are larger and typically lecture-style, shorter, non-interactive and not as comprehensive. Our in-person classes are smaller (typically 7-8 couples) which allows for more conversation and activities.

Q: How do I know what classes to take?

A: Click here to take our class quiz. Most of our birthing classes are geared for medicated or unmedicated births. The focus is informed decision-making and communication with your partner and healthcare provider. We strongly believe that your options can help you have an improved birth outcome.

Q: Does the fee for the class include both me and my partner?

A: YES! The fee for our classes covers the cost of two attendees: you and a support person of your choice.

Q: What happens if I can’t make the in-person class on the date that I choose?

A: We always aim to find a solution for your family, whether that’s moving you to another class date, or sharing our virtual self-paced class with you.

Q: Do you have these classes offered in any other languages other than English?

A: All of our virtual classes are offered in both Spanish and English. Click here to learn more about our Spanish classes.

Q: Do you offer a discount on birth doula support if you sign up for classes?

A: Yes, our birth doula clients have the option to purchase our birth doula & class package and save 45% on virtual classes and 50% on in-person classes. Click here to connect with us about doula support and our class packages.

Q: Where are your in-person classes offered?

A: Our in-person classes are located at various locations throughout the city, and in some of the suburbs. Please check out the individual class that you’re interested in to see the location.

Q: What are your most popular classes?

A: Most first time parents sign up for Intro to Childbirth, Bringing Home Baby, and Breastfeeding.

Q: Should I take a breastfeeding class?

A: We highly recommend taking a breastfeeding class if you plan on breastfeeding. Our breastfeeding class comes with a very helpful workbook and is more comprehensive than most hospital-based classes.
