At Chicago Family Doulas, community has always been at the heart of what we do. Last month we were honored to host the first of many Doctors & Doulas Events and it was truly a night to remember. Surrounded by compassionate providers, experienced doulas, and dozens of wonderful expecting families, the room was filled with connection, curiosity, and so much excitement for the journey ahead.

We were especially grateful to spend meaningful time with two incredible practices:

The Women’s Group of Northwestern

Their team brings not only exceptional clinical expertise but also the warmth and personal-centered care that expecting families deeply appreciate. They spent the evening answering thoughtful questions, offering insights, and connecting with families in a way that made everyone feel supported and understood. Learn more about them here.

Their providers truly shine with a blend of professionalism and heart. From discussing newborn care to helping families feel more prepared and confident, their presence added so much value to the event. Partnerships like these remind us why Chicago is such an incredible place to grow a family. When physicians and doulas come together, families receive a more seamless, compassionate, and well-rounded level of care.

We have been HUGE fans of both of these practices for the past 13 years. ALL of our clients rave about them!

Of course, the true highlight of the evening was the families. We were lucky enough to meet so many soon-to-be parents each with their own hopes, fears, dreams, and questions. There was something so special about watching connections form between attendees, hearing families share their excitement, and being able to support them right where they are.

Many shared that they felt more informed and empowered after the event, which is exactly why we host these gatherings. Our goal is always to help families feel celebrated, build confidence, create community, and make sure families know they never have to navigate pregnancy, birth, or postpartum alone.
