One of our most exciting and cherished events of the year is our Meet the Doulas event! It’s such an honor to meet so many wonderful new families! And it is so special to have some of our precious families drop in with their sweet babies!

In this three-hour event, we always have an open door. Families stop in at various times throughout the evening and some stay and hang out with us throughout the entire time. With such a large team, we love to rotate the doulas who are invited so that families have an opportunity to meet quite a few.

We usually have 10 to 15 doulas from our team at the event. Families get the opportunity to walk around and talk with all of them. I make a point to connect with every family that arrives. I’m always standing at the entryway and greeting families as they walk in.

Families are able to learn about our classes, birth and postpartum doulas, and meet our team as well as build connections with other families. At this event we had delicious food from Grazing Table Chicago and a season-themed photobooth from Pixster Chicago. Families were able to take cute bump photos (complementary of course).

At our last event, each family left with photos from the photobooth, a full belly, lots of helpful information, and a small gift bag (which includes coupons, community resources, and a few small gifts from Birth & Baby University, Innerpeace Health & Wellness, and more).

We host a Meet the Doulas event twice a year and our next one, called Meet the Doulas: Mocktail Hour. This event is coming up on August 26, 2024. Learn more about that here.
