Meet Andrea V.

doula chicago

Andrea is a very experienced birth and postpartum doula on our team. She provides sensitivity, education, compassion, and love to the families she supports. Her love for supporting others started as a child: her great-grandmother recognized her innate nurturing spirit and encouraged her to continue to care for and honor birthing parents, partners, and babies. When Andrea discovered she could turn her passion into a profession, she was immediately drawn to it and pursued it wholeheartedly.

As a postpartum doula, she supports families of all backgrounds, regardless of age, race, gender, or family structure. She has extensive experience in newborn and infant sleep, breastfeeding, caring for special needs babies, caring for medically fragile infants, IVF conception, and supporting single and teen parents. She specializes in care for multiples and overnight care.

As a birth doula, she is experienced with medicated and unmedicated births, water births, cesareans, hospital deliveries, breastfeeding issues, bottle feeding, and postpartum mood disorders. She understands that every birth is unique and deserves support.

Andrea is currently enrolled in the Common Sense School of Midwifery program, studying to become a Licensed Midwife (LM)/Certified Professional Midwife (CPM). This comprehensive program will equip her with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide safe and compassionate clinical care to pregnant individuals and support them through labor, delivery, and postpartum as a midwife.

Andrea is excited to continue her education and pursue her passion for helping families bring their little ones into the world.

Families describe Andrea as experienced, knowledgeable, proactive, caring and loving.
