Meet Angelina
Angelina is a full spectrum doula trained through Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings (BADT). She has her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and is working on finishing her Master’s degree. Caring for families throughout this important time and walking alongside them through pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum is such an honor and privilege. She is very skilled at supporting families and supporting them as they find their own path.
As a labor doula, she enjoys helping families to find a voice and have an empowering birth experience. As a postpartum doula she enjoys supporting families as they find their footing and is so happy to jump right in with education, hands on support and providing peace of mind.
As a doula, she provides inclusive care and is very skilled at supporting parents with navigating this exciting and sometimes overwhelming journey of parenthood. Angelina has had a passion for reproductive work since high school, where she wrote papers on reproductive justice, advocating for reproductive rights for all. It wasn’t until college when she first heard about doulas and all they do, which pushed her to a clearer path of reproductive work. After completing her full-spectrum doula training and MSW, Angelina hopes to use them both to further engage in inclusive and compassionate reproductive care with her clients in various settings.
Prior to her career as a doula Angelina has cared for children who are on the autism spectrum, which was very rewarding! She is currently working with postpartum clients in the clinic setting, assisting them with finding community resources, providing education on various topics, and making sure parents can find appropriate providers for medical referrals for their children. She understands that the postpartum journey can look different for everyone and she hopes that she can empower her clients to advocate for themselves and their child(ren).
When not supporting families, Angelina enjoys spending time with her husband, two cats, and hedgehog. She loves to be outside, is a major foodie, and loves to travel and create new memories.

“My family is incredibly grateful for CFD. Ashley and Angelina were with our family for nearly 6 months and I don’t think we would have been able to survive without them. Their knowledge, patience, willingness to teach but also to let us try things on our own, and flexibility, are things that we could not have lived without with a brand new (first) baby. Everything that could be overwhelming, they made it simple. Things that scared me, they calmed me down. We have no local family local to help us, and they made our stress/worry disappear. Also, having people in your home is a very personal experience and they were both welcome additions to our family that we looked forward to seeing/hanging out with. I am actually sad that our time with them is over because I enjoyed seeing them so much. Also – Anna/Erica were also instrumental in dealing with our complicated calendars and schedules – which was so wonderful. They made sure we had care when we needed it and handled any/all last minute help or requests with ease. My family is so grateful!”

“My wife and I have had the good fortune of working with Angelina Wilkerson of Chicago Family Doulas since our son was born in July of 2022. She is an outstanding and very trustworthy and dependable postpartum doula whom we have welcomed into our home both for daytime and overnight visits. She always exhibits cheerfulness and patience with our son and confidence and professionalism with us. She is exceptionally knowledgeable about babies – a trait that is so valuable to my wife and me as new moms! Additionally, she always emphasizes to us that she is here to support our whole family, not just care for our son, whether that means advising me on my breastfeeding journey, stopping at the pharmacy on her way to our house, or doing some light housework for us when our son is asleep. My wife, our son, and I recommend Angelina to you in glowing terms!”
