Meet Ashley U.

twin care chicago

Ashley is a CAPPA trained postpartum doula on our team. She has over 20 years of experience fostering safe and nurturing environments for families. She is experienced with overnights and daytime care and she has supported many twin families. She has a deep understanding of the complexities of family life, particularly during those transformative newborn stages. She understands how exhausting and busy this time is and she is proactive and incredible insightful with her support.

Prior to doula work, she supported families as a nanny and youth program director. Ashley has a background in Early Childhood Education. She’s currently pursuing training to become an Integrative Trauma Practitioner (ITP) and certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C). This dedication ensures she can offer even broader support to families during this vulnerable postpartum time. Her ultimate goal is to empower families to feel confident and cared for as they navigate those precious first weeks with their new arrival.

Ashley understands the unique challenges faced by families of diverse backgrounds. She leverages her own experiences to create a safe and inclusive space for everyone. Whether it’s sharing her knowledge, developing customized systems and routines, or simply being your biggest cheerleader, Ashley is here to support you on this exciting new chapter.

Beyond her work as a doula, Ashley is a passionate individual who enjoys planning events, advocating for social justice, and exploring the world.

When she’s not busy supporting families, you might find her hitting the golf course, camping with her furry companion and friends, or staying connected and virtually supporting with her amazing nephew and his wife as they navigate early parenthood while living abroad.

Ashley is ready to be your trusted guide and empowering ally as you navigate the beautiful (and sometimes messy) journey of parenthood, regardless of where you are in your family’s story. She will create a safe and supportive space for your postpartum experience to thrive.
