Meet Ashli
Ashli is a labor and postpartum doula on our team who has completed her training through CAPPA, she is also a placenta encapsulation specialist. She has been working her whole life with children ranging from the age of 2 days to 12 years old. She has over 20 years of experience including being a nanny, night nurse, as well as a Head Start teacher back in her hometown. She is a foster mom preparing to adopt and very family-oriented. She comes from a big family of 9 kids, and helped out a lot with all the children in her family. She takes pride in helping all moms from every background to have the best start with their new bundle of joy.
Ashli worked and volunteered as a camp counselor for several summers, providing guidance and support for special needs children as well as those without. Her personal and professional experiences include caring for children with neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS), fetal alcohol syndrome, Down syndrome, autism (ASD), and Asperger’s syndrome (AS) as well as many years of feedings for infants struggling with colic, acid reflux, and allergies. Oak Lawn Park District/Village Hall awarded her with a plaque as “Volunteer of the Month” for outstanding interaction with special needs children.
Families describe Ashli as caring, confident, reliable, and one of the family. She has worked with all family sizes, ranging from 4 kids under 6 years of age, only children, and groups of siblings under 2 years. She even had the joy of working with twins. She knows milestones are important and is happy to work with families to ensure consistent child development. Families have expressed their gratitude for her dedication as their children grow to school age.
