Meet Bryn

prentice doula chicago

Bryn is a well-loved labor and postpartum doula. She is trained through DONA and has been working with families and young children for 15 years.

Prior to supporting families as a full time postpartum doula, Bryn worked as an infant teacher at a daycare.  She enjoyed expanding her knowledge base of infant care and infant development, as well as Early Childhood Education. Before becoming a doula, Bryn completed her Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Missouri. She uses her knowledge of human history, anatomy and culture in her daily life. From biological changes in infants to the social/cultural norms of the family dynamic and motherhood.

As a labor doula, Bryn is educated and prepared to help families have a positive and well-supported birth experience. Bryn is passionate about supporting all birthing persons and their families. She believes that birthing a child is the single most incredible moment in a person’s life. She provides physical, emotional and informational support before, during and after the birth of baby.

As a postpartum doula, Bryn is excited to be a resource and comfort for families. She is excellent at blending in and helping wherever is needed. Bryn has been educated in Breastfeeding Assistance and is very passionate about helping new parents find any aid they may need to be successful in their postpartum period.

Families describe Bryn as warm, patient, kind, as well as a baby whisperer.

In her spare time Bryn enjoys singing and baking. She also enjoys playing with her toddler and watching her explore the world around us!
