Meet Callie
Callie is a CAPPA trained birth and postpartum doula with 20 years of experience in childcare. She has loved caring for families, children and babies from a young age and took that passion and turned it into a career. She’s been a daycare worker caring for the youngest and engaging with the eldest. She’s nannied and babysat throughout the years as well.
Callie is incredibly passionate about equitable birth work and emphasizes the whole body experience to ensure that the birthing person’s experience is empowering. She believes all families should have access to health care which led her to become a certified abortion doula through Chicago Women’s Health Center. Her passion for birth stemmed from her L&D experience, as well as, the birth of her own daughter. As a labor doula she is committed to ensuring that families have a positive experince and have a strong voice.
Callie loves to help new families transition from pregnancy to a new baby by not only caring for baby and children, but caring for the family as well. She believes that haveing a strong support can make all the difference in creating a nurturing and successful home. As a postpartum doula, Callie enjoys helping her families find their new footing. She loves to care for busy families and is comfortable jumping right in and helping in every way needed, she also enjoys caring for families with singletons.
Families describe her as incredibly warm, knowledgeable, peaceful and kind.
When she’s not homeschooling her daughter, you can find her and her daughter hiking on trails and searching for the best ice cream.
