Meet Chrishon 

Chrishon is a Blissful Births certified labor doula and postpartum doula on our team. She enjoys supporting families through all of the amazing transitions and life events including birth, postpartum, and breastfeeding. As a birth doula she is experienced with hospital births, birth centers and home births. She is very knowledgeable about supporting mothers through unmedicated births, medicated births, and cesareans. She supports families through connecting with them, utilizing comfort tools including the Rebozo, breathing techniques and supporting the partner so they feel empowered to support the mother.

As a postpartum doula she is a strong support both day and night and has 15 years of experience caring for newborns and families.  She enjoys being proactive, helping with cooking, tidying up, bottle washing, support with breastfeeding and caring for babies so the parents can get much needed rest.

Prior to becoming a doula she was a certified pharmacy technician for 15 years and has worked in 6 different major hospitals throughout Chicago and Northwest Indiana. She also has an Associates degree in health science. 

Chrishon became a doula because when she had her first son back in 2009 and she had wished that she had support through the pregnancy and birth.  This led her to become a Doula so that women would not have to experience being alone while giving birth. 

Chrishon is incredibly passionate and a strong support. Families describe her as having a very loving and patient spirit. 

When Chrishon isn’t supporting families, she is spending time with her three children. She also loves to travel.
