Meet Deena

Deena is an ICEA trained postpartum doula on our team. She has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Public Health, specializing in maternal and child health, and she brings a wealth of technical knowledge to her practice. Deena’s warm and approachable nature helps ensure support for families during this transformative time. Her friendly demeanor, personable approach, and innate problem-solving skills set her apart. She is certified in infant CPR, AED, and first aid, ensuring the safety and well-being of the families she supports. She finds joy in supporting families through this transition and is exceptionally strong with providing breastfeeding support, soothing babies to sleep, and assisting with newborn care.

Prior to doula work, Deena has mentored children from kindergarten to second grade serving an entire school district, as well as having been a live-in nanny for a family who had a newborn. This prior work has honed Deena’s nurturing skills. She has additionally cared for her 6-month-old nephew regularly which has deepened her understanding and love for the newborn and early toddler stages.

In her free time, Deena enjoys spending quality time with her nephew, indulging in her love for reading, and exploring new hobbies like watercolor painting, playing the bass, and ceramics.
