Meet Emily
Emily is a CAPPA certified postpartum doula on our team who aims to serve families in the most supportive manner. Preparing, educating, and empowering has always been at the forefront of Emily’s character. Emily has a degree in Women’s and Gender Studies and Film and Media Studies with experience nannying, mentoring, and substitute teaching children to young adults-ages 5-21. She strives to be inclusive, hold space, and serve the community of birthing people and their families.
Emily believes the birthing person deserves the most celebration and support, especially in the fourth trimester and beyond. Whether the birthing person or family needs assistance in establishing routines, entertaining other children, confidence, meals, or help with baby technology knowledge, she understands the need to support and honor families in any capacity they may like.
Emily aims to guide the family down a path that will yield the best possible environment and confidence for time to come, especially for first-time parents. Outside of being a postpartum doula, Emily enjoys spending time with their child and cat, doing yoga, being in community, reading, and cooking.
Families have described Emily as kind, patient, calm and very helpful.

“Emily was incredibly kind and caring. She took excellent care of our little one. Having overnight doula support was so helpful in the early weeks. We deeply appreciated Emily’s sage insights on newborn care.”

“Since night one Emily was a huge benefit to my family. She listened to our routines, offered her personal knowledge, and was extremely gentle with our baby. Most of all, she was kind. Her hands-on baby help and emotional mother support helped us navigate our early newborn weeks with greater ease and peace of mind.”
