Meet Erica
Erica is an experienced birth and postpartum doula trained through DONA and has been supporting families for many years. As a mother of 4 herself, she brings personal experience and deep empathy to her role. Erica is also an admin on our team, showcasing her organizational skills and dedication to the field.
She is a strong support for families in pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum. Erica commits herself to supporting and upholding families’ wishes. She is a strong guide, knowledgeable, compassionate and empathetic.
With her experience managing a household of six, Erica has a deep understanding of what it takes to keep a home running smoothly. She always jumps right in to help with you, baby, other kiddos, cleaning, cooking and companionship so you can heal, bond, and adjust with your new baby.
Erica understands that a clean, organized home with minimal chaos will be a godsend during this time. She will help keep your home tidy and functional.
Erica has always felt that the kitchen is where she heals the people she loves, and as a postpartum doula, she takes the task of cooking for new mothers very seriously. After the rigorous and demanding act of birth, you’ll need much more than a pre- or post-natal vitamin. Your daily meals and drinks will truly do the job of nourishing and building you up. Her favorite simple dishes have universal appeal and are accessible to prepare. She wants mothers to enjoy her food as nourishment, as medicine, as comfort, and, of course, as a gift offered with love from a person who cares.
One of her special touches is guiding and encouraging you to add small rituals of self-care that fill up your reserves on every level. As a mother of four, she fully grasps how emotional stability is paramount for the long-term vitality and happiness for the entire family. These moments of peace she will help you create will be designed to ultimately serve your whole family.
The postpartum period is the essential conclusion of your childbearing story. Claim this time and space for yourself. Erica would love to support and unburden you during this initial phase of life with your new baby.
Families love Erica’s kindness, ability to understand exactly what to do and how to help, and her deep knowledge of babies, families and recovery. Her role as both a mother of four and an admin on our team further enhances her ability to provide comprehensive and insightful support to new families.

“I hired Erica for the birth of my son and couldn’t be happier with her services. My husband and I are first-time parents and I wanted to have a knowledgeable person on our side to help us to advocate for a natural, low intervention birth in a hospital. Best decision ever! In our first consultation, Erica demonstrated to be a great listener and addressed all my questions and concerns surrounding birth. She introduced me to Hypnobabies, and although I didn’t follow the program completely, the breathing exercises got me through contractions without epidural. In the second consultation, Erica went through some positions and exercises that we could try during delivery. She also involved my husband and showed him hip squeezes and massages that he could do to support me. On the day of the delivery, I believe Erica biggest contribution was to help my husband to understand medical procedures and guide his requests and decisions to the medical team based on what she knew I wanted (I wasn’t in condition to talk). It was like she could read my mind! I felt so relieved to have her there and could focus on my breathing. After birth, everybody’s attention went to my beautiful baby, but Erica stayed on my side the whole time to make sure I was ok (placenta delivery, stitches, clean up, etc). What a God’s send! After a week post partum, Erica visited us once again and answered several questions I had about newborns. I’ll be forever grateful for the incredible support Erica gave me and my family!”

“Erica is such a beautiful person inside and out. Shortly after I had my son, I made the decision to hire a doula to help me with him at nights so I could rest. I was in a vulnerable place as my husband was deployed at that time. I remember talking to Erica over the phone, she was so kind and helped me feel comfortable with the process. The first night she started, I opened the door and I just remember feeling a sense of calmness throughout my body. I knew she would take great care of my baby boy and that she did. She would go out of her way to help me, always offer helpful suggestions, cook, clean up and assist me with meal preparation. I will forever be grateful for Erica and I will never forget all the amazing things she’s done for me and my little boy.”

“I am really happy with Erica’s help. She was my labor doula as well as postpartum doula. We met twice before the big day (night actually) to get to know each other and to discuss different options when the labor starts. Erica is very tactful, supportive, open for ideas and professional in what she is doing. Always responsive, day and night, for any questions, worries, or doubts. Even though we did not have many chances to use it, I loved her bag full of magic stuff that would help you through tough moments. Erica looked after my son when I needed to take a nap, helped me with light house chores and gave me lots of useful advices (I’m a new mom). In all labor mess and excitement it was Erica’s voice I heard when my baby was just about to enter this world “breath in…. and out”. Thank you for this, supermom!”
