newborn care chicago

Gabrielle is a loved postpartum doula that was certified through International Doula Institute in 2016. As a postpartum doula she loves bringing knowledge, rest and tailored care to each of her families. She has a deep passion for making sure this time is as positive and enjoyable as possible. Gabrielle is passionate about nutritional health during pregnancy and is always happy to share ideas and cook when possible for a family.

Along with years of postpartum care experience, Gabrielle has enjoyed working with families as a household manager and infant nanny, giving families structure and relief during times of loss and big change.

In addition to Gabrielle’s childcare background, she also studies Clinical Mental Health Counseling and has a background in child development psychology. Gabrielle is passionate about bringing healing to women experiencing postpartum depression and birth trauma affects and is rooted in tools that allow a more connected mind-body bond within.

Gabrielle began working as a doula after supporting her aunt after giving birth. She had realized that there were many shortcomings with the current system and so much more care was needed.  Gabrielle fed and brought her aunt back to health while caring for the baby and hiring a team of doulas to care for them. That experience propelled her into her career as a doula.

Gabrielle has also served homeless women and children over the years in her volunteer work and has the patience and warmth to comfortable to “be with” people in their darkest moments, while providing care and support.

While not caring for families, Gabrielle enjoys spending time outdoors, studying, and she is also a painter and musician.
