Meet Genie B.

Genie is a certified Birth & Baby University postpartum doula who brings warmth, expertise, and dedication to support to families during one of life’s most transformative journeys. She supports families expecting a singleton as well as families who are expecting multiples. She supports families welcoming their first baby and those welcoming a new addition to an already busy household. Genie provides high-quality infant-focused care during the overnight period. She supports families by establishing healthy sleep routines, nursing, pumping, and bottle feeding (formula and/or breastmilk). She completes baby laundry, light housekeeping, and meal prepping.

Before discovering her calling as a postpartum doula, Genie was a professional nanny for 19 years. This extensive experience supporting families who had children from the newborn stage through middle school equipped her with deep knowledge of infant and child development as well as family dynamics. Her transition to doula work was inspired by her passion for supporting families during the critical fourth trimester, when expert guidance can make all the difference.

Families describe Genie as patient, calm, even during challenging moments; organized and detail-oriented.  She has a unique ability to bring calm, structure and predictability to the postpartum period and an instinct of noticing the little things that matter to your baby’s comfort and your peace of mind. She’s known for her vibrant personality, bringing positive energy and gentle humor to lighten difficult days. Parents appreciate her nurturing approach, which may include singing lullabies to comfort fussy babies, honing in on your little ones needs and her ability to provide inclusive care which includes providing special care to engage older siblings while helping them feel important in their new role.

When Genie isn’t supporting a family, she spends time with her kids and attends their sporting events.
