Meet Julie M.

newborn care chicago

Julie is a nurturing certified Birth & Baby University Postpartum Doula. She supports families during the overnight period, providing high-quality infant-focused care, feeding support, meal prepping, and light housekeeping. This allows families to get the sleep and rest they need and also allows them to feel supported and cared for during this often overwhelming time. Julie supports families who are welcoming their first baby as well as those welcoming a new baby to their already busy household. She is also a strong support for families and infants who are facing challenges and require tailored professional support. She has supported infants who have spent time in the NICU for being born premature including those with medical complexities.

Julie is a lifelong learner and is always learning new methods and educating herself on the new baby items on the market in order to provide each family with the best and most relevant support.

Prior to her career as a doula, Julie was a career nanny, a teacher in preschool and daycare settings, and a special education paraprofessional. She obtained her degree in Early Childhood Education.

Families describe her as warm, caring, and an excellent communicator. They feel at ease with her inclusive and proactive support and they enjoy her ability to provide tailored resources. Families love her ability to share her knowledge in a supportive way and also her ability to connect them with other paraprofessionals and community resources.

When she isn’t supporting families, Julie enjoys spending time with her family, walking her grand dog, riding her bike, and going to the gym.
