Meet Keena

Prentice Northwestern Doula

Keena is a well-loved Full Spectrum Doula for birth, postpartum, loss, and fertility. She strives to support families achieve a positive birth an postpartum experience.  It is her life’s journey to empower the family through holistic wellness and with quality care.

 Her niche and collegiate career is mental health. As a postpartum doula she loves helping families navigate the many overwhelming challenges and feelings that come with the steep learning curve with their little one and their new role.  She cares for families as they need postpartum and loves to jump in and support wherever it is needed.

 As a birth doula she loves utilizing coping skills such as movement, pressure, water and guided meditation to create a welcoming birth atmosphere and a positive and comfortable birth. She wants to empower families and help them to have a voice and feel cared for through this journey.

 Although Keena became a doula to help reduce the mortality rate in women of color, specifically African/Black women through community education, birth and postpartum support she has discovered so much joy in assisting a diverse population of birthing people and their families.  

 Families love Keena’s kind and warm demeanor, her strong willingness to be helpful and they can truly feel how much she cares.
