Meet Kelly G
Kelly is a well loved labor and postpartum doula, and lactation educator on our team. Families absolutely love her and find her to be an incredible resource and a baby whisperer. Kelly is very hands on and has an ability to know exactly what you need. Her expertise in breastfeeding support has been a wonderful asset to families as they are navigating feeding their new baby. She offers many great ideas and teaches breastfeeding classes, both group and private. Kelly received her postpartum training and certification from REAL Doula and completed her labor doula and lactation educator training with CAPPA.
Kelly is passionate about her work as a labor doula and is comfortable supporting families in a variety of settings and in all Chicagoland hospitals. She believes strongly in educating and empowering families to have the birth that they would like. She is the oldest of three and for as long as she remembers was always “mommy’s big helper.” She contributes much of her passion for families and babies to her role in her own family. Kelly’s passion for birth, babies and families was equally fostered by her grandfather and uncle who were both M.D.s in Obstetrics/Gynecology and had their own practices.
Prior to becoming a postpartum doula, Kelly supported families as a nanny for many years. She has always supported families and whenever one of her friends or a family member welcomed their newborns, she was the first to be called. Kelly recognizes the importance and intensity of this transition and knows exactly how to help. She loves how caring support can change a families experience from stressful and exhausting to enjoyable and fulfilling.
Families love Kelly’s kind nature, easy going personality, and ability to step in and care for their family.
