Meet Lace

Chicago Postpartum Doula

Lace is a CAPPA trained postpartum doula on our team, she has also been a Certified Nurse assistant for the past 11 years and has cared for children with disabilities over the last 4 years. Prior to becoming a doula she was a nanny. She has always found comfort and enjoyment in helping others and caring for children and adults alike. She has always been very nurturing and compassionate which makes her great for supporting the parents in this amazing journey of welcoming their baby.

When she had her own daughter 9 years ago, Lace felt that she would have appreciated extra support during her birth even if her family had offered to help, but we all know how things can change and it’s always nice to have someone you know will be there no matter what, this and many other things strengthened Laces desire to become a doula. She enjoys providing that extra support for the parents in a time where so many things are happening.

Lace has also always loved caring for babies. She has a great sense of communication and responsibility, and she likes to help with organization and keeping family goals at hand. During the postpartum phase parents can be overwhelmed with other responsibilities at home like siblings and chores; Lace loves to be an extra set of hands to help everyone feel balanced and let the parents focus on the new baby and siblings.

In her free time, Lace enjoys spending time with her daughter and family. She loves planning play dates with friends, anything outdoors is always fun!
