Meet Lorri T.

Lorri is a DONA trained birth doula on our team, as well as a CAPPA trained postpartum doula. She loves supporting families through labor, birth, and with settling in postpartum. She knows this time is absolutely precious, and takes great pride in making the experience as stress-free as possible.
She is supportive of medicated and unmedicated births and has experience with higher risk pregnancy. She enjoys helping families navigate the many choices that they have when it comes to labor and birth. She is a strong support with information, encouragement and emotions, as well providing the hands-on comfort measures that a laboring person needs to feel comfortable and cope through labor and birth.
As a postpartum doula, she loves helping families gain their footing and providing families guidance with establishing routines and healthy habits. She is a source of evidence based and practical information for new families which allows new families to feel safe and supported. She has a deep understanding of what families need and jumps in wherever needed. She is experienced with families welcoming their first, as well as families with busier households.
Families describe Lorri as encouraging, caring, and incredibly supportive.
Prior to doula work, Lorri was a high school teacher for 20 years. She is a married mother of three. While all her births were in a hospital setting, her last one was with a midwife and it was life-changing in terms of experiencing a whole different level of support during birth. She is so grateful to support expectant mothers through their own birth and postpartum experiences. She knows how important it is to not go through this alone!
When Lorri isn’t supporting families, she loves gardening and beekeeping. She is a part of an interracial family and looks forward to supporting moms of all ages and races.
