Meet Marisa
Marisa is a well-loved CAPPA trained labor and postpartum doula. She found this career path, like many doulas, through her own birth and postpartum experiences and through the love and respect she had for her own doulas. She quickly realized what an incredible impact that doulas can make and wanted to support families and provide this incredible support.
Marisa has always had a strong passion and commitment for helping others and for empowering women in any stage of life, especially as they are bringing new life into the world. Whether it is emotional, informational, or physical support, she doesn’t want parents to go into this alone. She is excited to use her knowledge, expertise and warmth to help guide women through their journey into motherhood.
This career has been a natural one for Marisa. As the oldest of three she has always been a “mother’s helper” starting at a very young age. She quickly became the neighborhood babysitter at age 14. When Marisa entered college, she supported families as a nanny for many years.
Marisa has experience as a home health aide and is also a certified medical assistant in family medicine. She has two girls ages 2 and 3. In her free time, you can catch her exploring nature, playing guitar and singing songs with her family.

“Marisa was such a great fit with our family. She is innately humble, intuitive, and kind. I am so grateful she supported us! I trusted Marisa within moments of meeting her in person. My older Children adored her as well. Marisa balanced the whole family out at all times and somehow kept me always feeling like her top priority. She manages her own busy household and came into our picture so capable and overqualified to handle all things applicable to my 4th trimester period. She even organized my pantry because it was adding stress to our lives. She was so kind and caring and when I was overwhelmed she always created space for me to rest. Her support was so critical that I actually progressed in recovery from postpartum depression and I will forever be grateful for how she came in and loved on us so deeply.”

“Marisa was such a big support to me and my twin boys! She was very hands on, caring, and knowledgeable. I cannot stress enough how important it is to get help especially with multiples because there’s nothing like having two newborn babies who need you all at once!! Marisa was a huge help to me and her heart was always in the right place, she always went above and beyond to help me! Thank you!”
