Meet Rina

newborn care chicago

Rina is a postpartum doula on our team who has been supporting families for 17 years! She is originally from Croatia and moved to the states while working as an au pair. Prior to doula work she has supported families as a live-in nanny, live out nanny, nanny share, overnight nanny, and day care teacher. She is incredibly passionate about supporting new mothers as they welcome their little on into their lives. She is experienced with daytime support, overnights, supporting families with singletons, busier households, and children with special needs. She supports and helps troubleshoot breastfeeding, as well as bottle feeding and formula feeding.

Newborns and infants are Rina’s passion, and she understands how important this time is in a new family’s life. She has two children ages 8 and 6, and through raising them she’s learned how important having support is. Both were born via Cesarean and both were breastfed.

Families describe Rina as outgoing, passionate, and communicative. She speaks 3 languages fluently: Croatian, English and Italian, and can also keep a conversation in Spanish and German!

When Rina isn’t supporting families, she loves to spend time outside with her own as well as watch true story shows/documentaries.
