Meet Tracy

Evanston doula chicago

Tracy is a CAPPA trained labor doula on our team as well as a postpartum doula. She supports families in all birth settings including hospital births, birth centers and home births. She believes that this is a journey for each family and they need to feel cared for and supported in all of their choices. She enjoys empowering families and helping them navigate this incredible and overwhelming time.

As a postpartum doula, Tracy loves jumping in and helping in all the ways needed. She knows this time is so important to families and wants to make the transition is as smooth as possible. She is experienced with supporting families with singletons as well as with busier households with multiple children.

Tracy is also an ICF accredited certified professional life coach (CLC) specializing in working with women through transitional life periods. Additionally, Tracy has a background in health and wellness and is working towards her CPT (Certified Personal Trainer) and CNC (Certified Nutritional Consultant) credentials through NASM. She also has work history in the mental health and non-profit industries as a case manager for SASS (Screening, Assessment, and Support Services) in helping displaced youths and reuniting them with their families.  She loves incorporating all of her passions into supporting families through pregnancy, birth and postpartum.

As a previous client of Chicago Family Doulas, Tracy experienced first-hand the benefits of hiring a doula and it fueled her desire to become a doula herself. Tracy strives to provide and uphold the core values and mission that has made Chicago Family Doulas the go to when hiring doulas. She brings compassion, empathy, education, and resources to families and their support systems. She loves providing families with informed, empowered, and positive birthing journeys. Postpartum families describe Tracy as compassionate, hard working, and incredibly understanding and supportive.

Tracy is also a proud mother to two little girls.  She had a newfound respect for the birthing journey and postpartum journey as both her pregnancies were high risk resulting in two beautiful premature children. Tracy learned how to care for her premature daughter’s bedside in the NICU and when they were finally ready to come home Chicago Family Doulas postpartum team was there to support her and her family.

Tracy brings the same warmth, compassion, knowledge, and essential expertise to her families as was provided for her own. She truly loves and values the bonds created between families and their doulas and is honored to be trusted in playing a role in creating a healthy and positive environment for families during their birthing journeys.

In her free time, Tracy enjoys reading and writing and is a published fiction author. She also enjoys music and plays several instruments with piano and guitar being amongst her favorites.
