Meet Ymani

Ymani is a certified birth and postpartum doula on our team. She is also a lactation specialist, training as a childbirth educator, and certified in Perinatal Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), which can be used to help families process birth related trauma. 

As a birth doula, Ymani supports families through inductions, medicated, unmedicated, hospital, birth center and homebirths. She believes that families should have a strong support system and feel empowered in the choices that they make.  

Ymani became a doula and maternal health advocate after the birth of her daughter Indigo. She uses an evidence based, family centered approach that helps parents learn to advocate for themselves before and after birth.  She is a natural teacher and caretaker and her gentle kindness is felt by all families that she has the honor of supporting.

In her spare time Ymani loves to cook, hike, and explore Chicago with her little one.
