Hospital-based midwives, home birth, OBGYNs and family practice doctors are ALL birth options in the Chicagoland area. I can’t count the number of families that I have spoken with who did not realize they had options for their birth. Knowing the options you have for your birth is critical and will empower you to have a more positive experience!
As doulas, we know that having a care provider that you trust and that you feel aligned with is one major factor in birth satisfaction and achieving as close to your birth goals as possible. We want families to feel cared for, trusted, heard and respected in pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
In the Chicagoland area, we have recently lost two amazing and well-loved midwifery groups. It has certainly been a loss for our families and birthing communities, BUT you still have options. We still have many incredible birth and midwife options in Chicago and within the suburbs.

Hi Kayla, thanks for reaching out. We do not have specific midwife referrals for this hospital, however we would recommend calling Central DuPage Hospital at 630-933-6427 and specifically ask:
Which Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) are currently accepting new prenatal patients?
Which CNMs provide both prenatal care and attend deliveries at Central DuPage?
Also asking where their offices are located is a good question too.
